Kari Kanne

Partner

Biography

With over a decade of experience, Kari dedicates her family law practice to providing practicable and sustainable solutions for her clients.  Kari works with each of her clients to develop a customized legal strategy based on each client’s unique circumstances and employs this strategy to achieve the best possible outcome for each client.

Kari’s practice focuses on resolving complex divorce and family law matters, which include, but are not limited to, contested custody and parenting time issues, spousal maintenance, business valuation, non-marital claims, and division of large marital estates.  When meticulous case management, strategic planning, and careful negotiations do not result in settlement, Kari’s attention to detail, thorough preparation, and exceptional litigation skills stand out in the courtroom.

Prior to joining Honsa Mara & Kanne, Kari worked as a staff attorney for Justice Anne K. McKeig when McKeig served the family court bench.  Working closely with a Hennepin County judicial officer gave her key insight on courtroom procedures, legal writing skills, and litigation strategies that prove effective in family law practice.  She applies this knowledge daily to effectively manage each client’s case and provide innovative long-term solutions for each client she represents.
